Directions and Decisions

I am going to stop posting or reposting artwork on EXP3 for foreseeable future.  There are events happening in our world right now that I feel it are more important to focus on and share.

Wind of the Gods Integration: 3am Games Thief

Sorry I missed this yesterday.  I've been struggling with a sinus infection and a few things slipped past.  This is a thief from my time at 3am Games.  In the final piece these images were merged together and inked as a single image.

New Pope...Same Old Homophobia

Check out Gay Family Values on Youtube.

I'm not Catholic.  In fact, I'm not Christian.  I'm a Gay Treehugging Pagan so me and any Christian church - well - we just don't see eye to eye.  This whole process just seems like a big creepy parade to me.  There's lots of power and money in a structure that large.  My question is: Who Benefits?

If You Can Read This: You Are a Pope!

Just some thoughts on the current transition of power in a very public world wide power structure.

From The Archives: The Keeper

This is a character design I developed for a vampire story I was working on in the early 90's.  He was supposed to a druid type, a defender of the "world tree", and a shape changer.  At that time, I was very influenced by the Image comics style, thus the eye tattoo.  I cringe looking at this now, but I'm sure I'll cringe looking back at some of the work I'm doing now.  In the end, It's all just history.

From Financial Times: A Disturbing Death in Singapore

Please check out this article at Financial Times on the death of electronics engineer Shane Todd.  The more I read, the more disturbed I became.  There are some things out in the world that I wish were only contrived movie plots...alas.

From the Archives: Howl

An original rough and an edited tighter sketch.  I don't remember the exact time frames on these, but they were placed in my sketchbook amongst other pieces from 1993-1995.  The early years, as it were.  No direct connection to the work of Allen Ginsberg, but I believe the sentiment is the similar.

Cancel the Sequester!

I just got this from the Student Debt Crisis Team:

On March 1st, a series of thoughtless, unfocused, "dumb" budget cuts, known as sequestration, went into effect.  These cuts will have devastating impacts on a wide range of government services, including higher education.  As a result of these cuts, student loan origination fees are forecasted to rise by 7.9%, Pell Grants will be cut, and the looming student debt crisis will deepen.  These cuts do not have to happen!

Representative John Conyers understands that and released "The Cancel the Sequester Act of 2013 (HR 900)." It is a simple one sentence bill that, if passed, would completely eliminate the sequester.

Therefore, please sign this new petition in favor of H.R. 900, encouraging Congress to simply repeal sequestration and get back to work on solving the real problems facing Americans from all walks of life.

We need every single office in the House to hear from their constituents, tell them you are sick and tired of these self-imposed budget crises, tell them they need to get out of the way and let America work and tell them to vote yes on HR 900 The Cancel the Sequester Act of 2013!  Then, please share the link to this petition - http://signon.org/sign/congress-vote-for-the?mailing_id=9811&source=s.em.cr&r_by=612126 - with friends, family, neighbors and co-workers by email, Facebook & Twitter today!

Follow Student Debt Crisis on Twitter @StudentDebtCrisis  or on Facebook.

Although I posted it once already, I feel like this video is so useful for this issue, I'm posting it again.
